What is Professional Whiteboard Steel?
Whiteboard steel sheets (industry term: Prepainted Steel for Writing Surfaces) are the core material for manufacturing durable educational and office boards. Unlike non-magnetic aluminum or cheap melamine, our product features a robust Galvanized Steel (GI) substrate coated with a specialized dry-erase resin.
This structure provides two critical advantages for manufacturers: Magnetic Receptivity and Superior Rigidity. It is designed to be laminated onto core materials (like MDF, honeycomb, or corrugated cardboard) to create flat, warp-free finished boards that can hold magnetic accessories firmly.
Key Features to Consider
The top coating defines the quality. We use a high-polymer resin cured to achieve a 4H Pencil Hardness. This ensures the surface resists ghosting (ink residue) and scratching, even after years of daily use in classrooms .
Since the base is steel (Iron/Zinc alloy), magnets stick to it naturally. This is a "must-have" feature for modern teaching boards, allowing users to attach notes and visual aids without pins or tape .
Thickness: 0.13mm - 0.60mm (0.3mm is standard for schools).
Back Coating: Epoxy primer designed for strong adhesion to glue/cores.
Film: Protective film (clear/blue/grid) included to prevent damage during processing.
