Outer Skin and Reverse-Side Coating
A garage door coil must be specified on both sides. The exposed face controls appearance and weathering, while the reverse side affects bonding and panel production.
Weathering and Appearance
Select the topcoat according to UV exposure, color-retention requirement, corrosion environment, forming demand and project budget.

PU Foaming or Adhesive Compatibility
The reverse-side coating must be tested with the actual PU system, adhesive, production temperature and panel process. A generic back coat should not be assumed to work with every foam or adhesive formulation.

Which coating is suitable for garage door panels?
PE, SMP, HDP and PVDF are selected according to forming, UV exposure, corrosion environment, color-retention requirement and budget. The final coating structure should be confirmed with the complete door-panel specification.
Can the same steel be used for the outer and inner skins?
Yes, but the exposed-face coating and reverse-side bonding requirements may differ. Outer and inner skins should be specified separately when appearance, corrosion or PU-bonding requirements are different.
What back coat should be used for PU door panels?
The reverse-side coating should be selected and tested with the actual PU system, adhesive, temperature and panel process. A universal back-coat specification should not be assumed.
Can embossed or wood-grain door steel be supplied?
